White Bedroom Furniture – A Distinct Look in Country, Antique, or French Provincial Decor

White bedroom furniture is a popular classic look in Country, Antique and French Provincial décor. True white paint has been around only for about 60 years, prior to that white paint was what we now call off-white.

White country bedroom furniture is a romantic look that dates back in time, at least in the minds of many. It can be reminiscent of marble, if painted in that manner. Or it can be kept a true white, which people seem to enjoy. The ancient Greeks loved white so you can easily create a Greek-themed bedroom centered on your white painted furniture. Use white and blue items to decorate the room. Your bed linen could be either a deep navy blue or a medium blue, or white with blue trim.

Consider adding some plants, live green plants will help capture the mood of the Greek islands. Never use artificial plants or flowers. It looks cheap and fake. A statue of a Greek god or goddess would be very appropriate and interesting. Very nice statues of Apollo and Venus are available and they are not expensive. The old Greek religion is being revived, so statues of a wide range of gods and goddesses are available in the US and Europe.

Antique white bedroom furniture is a historic Colonial look that goes back to the original British colonies that made up the US and Canada. Antique white is an off-white range of colors that are pleasing on the eyes and very popular.

Decorate the room with items that match and blend into the general look you wish to have. Avoid harsh colors. Pictures of plants and flowers are perfect and will help create a classic look both you and your loved one will appreciate.

How about some rustic or antiqued items to serve a accents. There is a wide range of antique-looking items that could be used and would provide an interesting look.

White French provincial bedroom furniture is a true classic look. This type of furniture is also off-white, and usually with a gold line around parts of the furniture. This type of furniture is usually in specific designs that are reproductions of the designs used in pre-revolutionary France. This is much more formal in design, so nothing rustic here.

Bed linen should be either white or beige and be either plain or with a flower motif. Decorations should also be reproductions of period items from pre-revolutionary France or items that could blend into this color scheme and French provincial décor.

White bedroom furniture is a very interesting selection in furniture, yet it has some latitude in taste and feel that can reflect your personality and the mood you desire.
